Exploring the fantasy and desire of femalehood, Yi`s portraits evoke beauty and fragility in her subject matters. Her heroines are often the people close to her – her daughter, sisters and friends.

Yi (born 1980, Guilin) is a self taught artist. She works as a university instructor of Mathematics in Guilin.
