The Face (April 2001)

Sandy Plotnikoff
Art Metropole
22 × 28 × 0.9 cm

UK’s pop culture magazine THE FACE is the target of being pop-cultured by Plotnikoff. The artist uses a felt tip marker to follow across the pages in a playful and gestural line. Plotnikoff subverts the indie hip magazine by interrupting the glossy images with loopy, black marks. Altered The Face magazine Vol.3 no.51, April 2001. Edition of 50, with a signed and numbered bookmark.
