Common Threads was curated by Lee Plested. Based in San Francisco and Vancouver, Plested brought together the works of stellar artists in the spirit of community and the ever-evolving conversation between arts and crafts, with neither being favoured. In a sense, Plested gives us utopia by throwing back the curtains on the erotic personal nature of the handmade – with a few curve balls in the mix.
