Opening for Lucy Pullen's Antigraphs, Ash Holes and Multiples

On the evening of May 22nd, Art Metropole presented new works by Halifax ex-pat Lucy Pullen. With the artist in attendance, a diverse crowd enjoyed the enigmatic works installed throughout the bookstore and in Art Metropole¹s exhibition area. At several points throughout the evening, Pullen’s Ash Holes came crashing to the ground, met with applause, and subsequently were re-balanced by Lucy Pullen and a variety of associates.


Born in 1971 in Montreal, Quebec, Lucy Pullen is currently Assistant Professor, Sculpture, at the University of Victoria. Pullen has participated in residencies internationally and exhibits principally in Canada and the US.
