Art Metropole Window Display by Steven Beckly
Two Chromogenic transparencies installed in the Art Metropole shop window.

Studio Light in Two Parts focuses on the complexities of light and its ability to ephemerally activate moments within the transitory working space of the artist studio. Shifting sunlight travelling across walls, windows, prints, bodies, and objects is made subject and reflects the dualities inherent in light and its intimate relationship with photography.

Steven Beckly works predominantly with photography and publications to investigate the complexities of intimacy and relationships. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He currently lives in Guelph, where he is an MFA Candidate at the University of Guelph.
