“What intrigued me initially was why a book is in the Multiples section of the AM website – is it somehow a special version of Prince’s 1992 catalogue? If so, it seems to be very cheap – a bargain… further research required, but found nothing. And, when I saw the picture of a cowboy driving his stallions over a wildly flowing river, I imagined he was crossing the border to Canada to escape the comical Trump rules and regulations that will surely burden us all… especially cowboys. Or, maybe cowboys will be the only ones to benefit from America being made great again…who knows? It’ll never happen anyway… the GREAT part is bullshit; look at Britain… misty eyed fools walking away from Europe. Don’t start me…”

Note BeneRICHARD PRINCE was published by Eric Doeringer, an artist currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Eric Doeringer is known for his “Bootleg” work – small copies of works by eminent contemporary artists. Doeringer was listed as the vendor, but not producer of this work, when it was selected by Jonathan Monk. The record has since been updated.
