Afterimage: The Journal of Media Arts and Cultural Criticism is a bimonthly publication of the Visual Studies Workshop, a non-profit media arts center located in Rochester, New York.
For over 40 years, Afterimage has been an important voice in the media arts. Afterimage features unique, high-quality coverage of the visual arts, photography, independent film and video, new media, and alternative publishing, covering important issues and debates within art history, visual and cultural studies, media studies, and related fields.
