“In May 2017, I visited Michael Horsky in his studio. The numerous color copies of drawings strewn over the floor of the studio were most jarring to me. These templates used during the creation of oil paintings were laced with splatters of paint and linseed oil. The emerging pictoral space lent a whole new dimension to the drawings. Without hesitating, I borrowed the assembly of sheets and went on to create this painter’s book.” – Bernhard Cella, Vienna, 2017.
