Disco Hospital is a practice-led interdisciplinary project investigating sound, healing, and shamanisms from perspectives of queer theory and the histories of queer people as healers and intermediaries of knowledge. The project is presented as installation, sound, print media, video, and a functional/performative clinic that is open for beeswax from September 2012 through April 2013. The Disco Hospital Practitioner’s Guide is just that – a resource to the clinic, a glossary of terms and ideas, reflections off the mirror ball.
