Description

The Articulate Muscle is an ongoing series of hand-sculpted tongues. Extremities of oral communiques and sensations, they wriggle out a disembodied life not of content, but of contact. Is a tongue in the hand worth two in the mouth?

Jenine Marsh (b. 1984) lives and works in Toronto, Canada.Recent exhibitions took place at COOPER COLE, Toronto; ASHES/ASHES Los Angeles; Hannah Hoffman Gallery, Los Angeles; and Lulu, Mexico City. She has participated in residencies at the Banff Centre and the Vermont Studio Centre, and in 2017 will be in residence at RUPERT in Vilnius.
