Safe because its sharp tip is shielded when the pin is closed. Made
of rigid but flexible metal & operated by squeezing its parallel
sides inwards. Also known as fibula. Historically from the
Mycenaeans circa 14th century B.C.. “Invented” in hot July of
1849 by American Walter Hunt. Bested into art by Marcel Duchamp in
1918 via his largest & final painting Tu m’. Impolitic to exalt
only Richard Hell for its 70s punk rise; pat-on-the-bum for Vivienne
Westwood, high five. Nice & cheap & chic & sublime & safe &
