In 1984 I went to Europe with a suitcase full of small votive sculptures carved in Africa, based on my Venus and Adonis torso drawings. These votives became my traveling companions to the ancient ruins of Delphi, Aegean caves, museum and church squares in Italy, and fountains in Swtizerland. On my return I cam across a Rosicrucian ad announcing “Were you there?”, which forms the narrative to this journey…
