Taking its cue from the winding metal staircases typical of Montreal’s rowhouse achitecture, Walkups is a series of poetic documentaries providing the reader with a unique and intimate tour of apartments throughout the city. It blends strict autobiography and tall-tale, merging the confessional diary with science fiction. Featuring photographs by the author and Charles Chalmers.
