From the series “Activating the Archive”, in which selections from Art Metropole’s archive of videotapes were made by artists, critics and curators on a particular topic or theme. An accordion style booklet with critical text by Christina Ritchie, assistant curator of contemporary art at the Art Gallery of Ontario in the 1990’s. Ritchie discusses the video work of David Askevold. The subsequent publication and lecture allowed for Askevold’s deteriorated video to be preserved and new copies to be made. Interview with Carol Williams.
