Description

On the occasion of his exhibition ‘Walking through Baghdad with a Buster Keaton Face’ at the Aargauer Kunsthaus in Switzerland, Thomas Galler has published the first comprehensive book of his work. This catalogue is presented as an artist book that includes both documentation of his work as well as his artistic strategies and reference materials.

Additional texts include an interview with the artist by Hilde Teerlinck, a review of the artist’s filmwork by Margrit Tröhler and an examination of the conceptual threads running through Galler’s practice by Madeleine Schuppli.

Halfway between an artist-book and a monograph, an overview of new work and a retrospective, a publication and an exhibition. This book offers an in depth view into the highly influential practice of Thomas Galler.
