Disegno No.5 contains a reflection on the graphic identity of Marseille’s year as European Capital Culture in our Exposé section, while there are longer pieces on projects including Hella Jongerius’ redesign of the UN North Delegates Lounge in New York, a critical look at the future of lighting design, a photo-essay on the architectural significance of the Kumbh Mela religious pilgrimage, an exploration of everyday objects in a quiz designed by Sir Paul Smith, and a conversation between fashion designer Mary Katrantzou and photographer Erik Madigan Heck. Our Forecast section focuses on design studio Vitamins’ Lego calendar and footwear designer Marloes ten Bhömer reinvention of the high heel.
