Founded and edited by Willoughby Sharp and Liza Bear in 1968, Avalanche Magazine was a well-designed and influential publication of the late sixties and early seventies, one of the first to concentrate solely on conceptual art. The magazine folded in 1976. Featured artists include David Tremlett, Joel Fisher, Gordon Matta-Clark, Robert Morris, Bill Beckley, Italo Scanga, Ulrich Ruckriem, George Trakas, and Barry Le Va.
Avalanche Fall 1970 features Joseph Beuys on the cover.
