Description

親密關係 Chan Mat Gwaan Hai is Lam’s debut art book, a photo story accompanied by a diaristic text chronicling the artist’s visit to his diasporic roots in Hong Kong. Sweet encounters with relatives is juxtaposed against a fervent gay romance, initially sparked on Instagram only a month before the trip. Employing a candid approach, he photographs portraits, landscapes, and still lives, capturing a bona fide experience of his time in Hong Kong; revealing the intimate and mundane aspects of one’s contemporary life.
