Description

Catalogue of photographic representations of the artist in the guise of characters such as Emma Peel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in action figures created in her own likeness, in Silly Putty body impressions, and in a fingerprint installation humorously point to the impossibility of defining a fixed sense of self. Balfour’s show “Selfish” was exhibited at The Koffler Gallery, Toronto and the Richmond Art Gallery, Richmond. Text by Jennifer Fisher.
