Description

A series of photographs of Bonsai trees, reproduced as negatives. The book refers to last years published Der Baum, as it’s also fruit of Van der Weijde’s two-month stay in Japan.

Bonsai aims to raise questions on the reproduced object, the photobook as an object, the authorship of the found image and the fetishistic quality of printed matter.
