Found on the floor of Montreal’s Salvation Army store in 2004, this note (which reads “Connie: Louise asked me to return your book to you with her thanks. Elizabeth”) so struck Olson that he made copies of it, with its footprint marks and all. One is compelled to wonder who these women were, what was the book, and why couldn’t Louise deliver it herself? This edition is available to be slipped into other books to add to the mystery.
