Meichen Waxer’s intimate photographs bear fragmentary phrases like “i needed you to be over”, “i bruise far too easy” or “i thought” and give you the unsettling sense of learning about the bittersweet inner life of the artist, whose apartment, cat, possessions and self appear in these furtive images. Printed on folded card and cropped to replicate Polaroid photos, these pieces are in vellum sleeves, zig-zag sewn, from a signed and numbered edition.
