“Matter” is a monograph on Toronto and Berlin-based artist, An Te Liu published by the Künstlerhaus Bethanian (Berlin) in 2008/9. It features an interview with Nicholaus Schafhausen (Director of the Witte de With in Rotterdam; curator of the German Pavilion for the 52nd and 53rd Venice Biennale), essays in German and English by Vanessa Joan Müller (Director of the Kunstverein in Düsseldorf) and Astrid Mania (Berlin-based curator and writer), and an illustrative survey of Liu’s work.
