Description

Make your own home movie, by flipping the pages of this optical treat in the characteristic red and blue of the Danish artist, Albert Mertz. Mertz’s CINEMA is both more and less than the title would lead one to believe. It presents a series of blue and red forms, in various geometric configurations. While freezing this group of still images, the book also allows the viewer to set the motion and sequence into play that is implied by the reference to film. By treating it as a flipbook, one activates the patterns and relationships that exist on the single pages.

Sewn-bound, softcover, edition of 1000.
