Description

Part of the Western Front’s Decentre series, Ron Terada’s poster features a list of pop songs by various artists. Appearing around Vancouver during the summer months when the gallery is closed, Terada’s poster is both a fraudulent advertisement for a gallery exhibition as well as a mix tape of recommended listening. Without being provided with a music or gallery component, the viewer is left to piece together a narrative between the song titles, which range from the apprehensive 2. (Crazy For You But) Not That Crazy, 4. Hit the Brakes to the meteorologically pessimistic 12. Drenched.
