“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Hell… the modern Hell of information storage and retrieval…” the souls in Hell are stored on disc and tortured with the latest in digital video effects. Inspired by ‘Dante’s Inferno’ Lister’s “Hell” updates its metaphors and locations. Accompanied at times by Hell’s wacky systems designer, we see the spectacle of computerized graphics applied with intelligence and wit to the concept of sin in contemporary society.
