Description

Haacke’s work raises issues that have long been considered controversial, and first publically addressed in 1971 with the cancelation of his show at the Guggenheim Musuem. To what extent can art exist outside history or politics? And what are the responsibility of museums? This catalogue of his New Museum exhibition explores these purtinate issues in his work. This is a size-able catalogue that is printed entirely in black and white. Essays by Rosalyn Deutsche and Fredric Jameson, among others.
