Counterfeit 'No Frills' shopping bag

Miyo Takeda
40 × 60 cm

The artist illustrated each bag-design by hand with a permanent marker thereby transforming a ubiquitous object that (in Toronto) is associated with low-cost, mass-produced, throw-away consumerism, into unique works produced through a combination of careful observation, skill and patience yet can still be used to carry the goods.
