The Andrew Project book is the culmination of an anonymous public art intervention. Carried out between 2010 and 2013, Shaan Syed fly-posted Toronto, Berlin and London with a portrait line drawing of a man, accompanied by the name Andrew. Documenting the public interaction that resulted from the portraits appearing on city streets, and including work by seven artists and writers, a journalist and a branding consultant, the book explores ideas around advertising, image and abstraction; absence versus presence and the personal as it relates to the public.
