Description

Publication documenting three major video installations: Camera Opera (2008), Stadium- Final Cut (2008), and Ballroom (2004). These works constitute a coherent grouping which explores the inscription of the body in codified architectural environments, the feminine within performative spaces, and the blurred boundaries between the real and virtual, the physical and fantasy. Shot on location on the set of a current affairs television program in Berlin, in the recently renovated Olympiastadion in Berlin, and in the Rivoli Ballroom in South London, each work, through precise camera work and soundtracks, demonstrates Marsh’s mastery of her medium. Lynne Marsh is well-known for her looped video projections and her spectacular installations.

Text in French and English.
