Description

Video artist Bill Viola has built all of his work around the sensory perception of the human condition. From birth to death, he questions time, consciousness, breath, and soaks them in the sources of the great mystics, echoing Bosch or Giotto. The metaphysics that it brings to life paints solitude, aging or the relationship with others.

Published in conjunction with a retrospective at the Grand Palais 5 March – 21 July 2014.

Text in French.
