Description

This illustrated chapbook focuses on the Keith Cole’s 2017 performance, #HashTagGallerySlut that was part of the Toronto: Tributes and Tributaries – in Performance Series. During the performance Keith reenacts the drowning of artist Tom Thomson. Memoir is combined with commentary on the performance to think about the Canadian myth of Tom Thomson, the mysteries of death, and the elusiveness of history and identity. Meaning is fleeting yet profound through art based on impermanence and wonder.
