Description

The facsimile edition of volume I of the original Reading Finnegans Wake knitted by the artist consists of the same 4 volumes and a case, and has the purpose of sharing a unique edition that is part of the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library in the University of Toronto.

This project began using a classic edition published by Faber & Faber in 1965, it was altered by unbinding it and cutting each page into thin strips of paper, almost line by line and then used two knitting needles to put them back together in the same order, thus recomposing the text of the novel; the text ends up compressed, each page knitted, then rebound the book with its original cover, the final only copy has four knitted volumes in a case.

Digital Offset Printed on inuro 120 gm organic paper in Folio Club, Barcelona.
