Description

“The Silvershed Reader” is a project of the Silvershed, an artist-run space in New York, a product of the Silvershed’s first season of programming that explored ideas of 21st century consciousness and aesthetic production contains transcriptions through themes of “Digital with Monument,” “Free Dimensionality” and “the 21st”. To broaden the discussion the Silvershed conducted conversations with three artists, Matt Mullican, John McCraken and Peter Halley, whose work both presages and and opens ground for inquiries related to such themes, while also providing historical points of reference. The transcripts of the conversations, conducted by Patrick Meagher and Yunhee Min, have been reproduced here almost in their entirety, with minimal editing, to preserve the atmosphere of an intimate artists chat in a studio space.
