Raw v. 1 n. 4
RAW was a series of comics anthologies edited by Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly that was published from 1980 to 1991. It was an important publication of the 1980s alternative comics movement. As well, RAW was one of the few, regular North American venues for European comics.
Includes Bruno Richard, Elwood Smith, Francis Masse, Doug Kahn and Sue Coe, Milt Gross, Gary Panter, Joe Schwind, Jerry Moriarty, Charles Burns, Lynne Tillman and Scott Gillis, Jacques Tardi, Mariscal, Bill Griffith, Ever Meulen, Art Spiegelman, Kiki Picasso.
Raw number four featured a die cut Charles Burns cover with a second, full-color cover beneath, a full-page illustration by Sue Coe of ‘Reagan Speaks’ is intact but the original flexi-disc Ronald Reagan audio-collage by Doug Kahn is missing. Also includes chapter three of Spiegelman’s ‘Maus.’
