Setup publishes texts and artist projects. The artworks, essays, stories, poems and interviews herein reflect the diversity of forms through which art is currently produced and considered. We feature a spectrum of contributors, from students to established artists and writers, all the while prioritizing a combination of creativity and rigorous inquiry. Setup magazine began as a project for The Practice of Artists’ Publishing, a course taught by Kathy Slade at Emily Carr University in the fall of 2010. Published by Publication Studio Vancouver, it is independently funded and released on an unfixed schedule. We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of our contributors and readers.
Setup Issue 2 includes contributions by Eli Bornowsky, Susanna Browne, Arabella Campbell, Matthew Higgs, Genesis Mohanraj, Lee Plested, Reto Pulfer, Judy Radul, and Sean Weisgerber.
