A multi-layered artist book contained within a Z-fold cover that allows the book to be flipped, folded and expanded to reveal two hand-bound books and poster-sized map.
The enclosed books present the artist’s essays on the Greenpoint Oil Spill, the world’s largest urban oil spill which occured in Brooklyn, New York. In his essay, Cutler discusses oil, rainbows, geology, plastic, human evolution, architecture, monuments, language and theoretical futures of the Earth.
