All works are unique, hand formed, painted and fired by Eunice Luk.
Eunice’s work draws inspiration from her surroundings and reflects on the sentiments and commonality found across cultures and landscapes. Having worked with clay for over two decades, Eunice considers herself an artist transcending materiality into a personal language. Eunice spent four years living in Japan between 2015 – 2019, participating in artist residencies in Shigaraki, Yokohama and Tokyo. The experience in Japan greatly informed her practice and has deepen her appreciation and understanding for ceramic art. Eunice patiently shapes, paints and glazes each work individually, letting the work reveal itself through the process. The work is sometimes fired multiple times to achieve their final appearance. The result is imbued with emotions and expressions, inviting viewers to connect to a gentle and rich poetic world.
