Description

Curator Inti Guerrero conducted research into Flávio de Carvalho (1899-1973) for Performance in Residence. Brazilian artist and architect Flávio de Carvalho is perhaps best known for his Experiências (1931-1956), a series of performances avant-la-lettre that he carried out on the streets of São Paolo.

Departing from the Experiências, Inti Guerrero will specifically focus his research on the relations between the body, the psyche and architectural space in de Carvalho’s projects.

If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution has started a series of publications, featuring conversations with artists and other cultural practitioners involved in the organizations artist-residency programme.

Designed by Maureen Mooren.
