Beyond practical usage and symbolism, what can a human body do with an architectural construct? Artist Michael Lee ponders over this question in his inaugural solo exhibition and further in this companion publication. This book was published on the occasion of ‘When a Body Meets a Building’, the first solo art exhibition by Michael Lee Hong Hwee, held from 13-24 August 2004 at SG Private Banking Gallery, Alliance Francaise de Singapour, Singapore. A companion volume to the exhibition, this book also includes discussions on and images of artworks not featured in the exhibition.
