Painting and Waiting consists of comics-paintings, first presented at Mäetamm’s solo exhibition in 2013. Ten large-scale paintings are cut up and laid out as a pocket-size comic book.
Being simultaneously auto-biographical and fictional, Marko Mäetamm’s work embodies authentic odes to life, ironically tainted by bittersweet comments on the complexity of personal relationships between himself and others.
