Asthenia is an independent curatorial and publishing project, founded in 2015 by artist Amalia Vekri.
Printed annually, each edition launch hosts an exhibition by all the artists who have contributed to the publication. Contributors are asked to submit something that corresponds to the issue’s theme. This contribution can range from text, photography, or drawing. Asthenia has worked with a number of curators and over 100 Greek and international artists and project spaces around Athens.
Astehnia No. 5 features Tjorg Douglas Beer, Dimitra Dimopoulou, Dora Economou, Natasa Efstathiadi, Socrates Fatouros, Lakis & Aris Ionas / the Callas, Spiros Kokkonis, Harrie Kourkoulis, Michael Landy, Stamos Michael, Rallou Panagiotou, Panos Papadopoulos, Vasilis Papageorgiou, Ilias Papailiakis, Alexios Papazacharias, Sofia Simaki, Sofia Stevi, George Tigas, Sofia Touboura, Iris Touliatou, Amalia Vekri, and Nikolas Ventourakis.
