Halifax media artist Andrew McLaren recieved the gift of a Cerlox binder and was compelled to create an edition of books filled with what he decribes as “a fair variety of material relating in one way or another to my improvised calender systems based on dice and playing cards”. Built from transparencies, Vegas casino card decks, multicoloured stitching, laminated insects, numerolical tables and many things that defy classification, this book work represents a sane man’s rigrous meditation on time and the marking of its passage with all the systemic dedication of the truly deranged.
