“There was a full moon on April 17th 2011 – thus this project was cognized under the premise of that lunar presence: 17 000 words were given as a task to be completed (written by hand, scrawled whilst in the thicket of Manhattan) the evening prior to departing from New York for Toronto, the day after said full moon. In sync with the maddening visceral internalized nature of attempt given to the obligation of the written word, 17 collages – mounted and ‘framed’ on white cardboard – were made and given out at the instant of memorable interaction with strangers and acquaintances. This book compounds these actions and includes a unique bookmark: a simple splice of a collage into four.”
